   Harness Inspection: Trace the wiring harness from the 4th auxiliary remote valve stack back to the AUX/TMF controller. Look for rubbed, pinched, or melted wire insulation that could be bridging the solenoid signal wire to a 12V power wire.

   Connector Check: Disconnect the electrical connector at the 4th remote valve's lower solenoid. Inspect the pins for corrosion, moisture, or bent terminals that could cause a short.

   Voltage Test: With the solenoid disconnected and the key ON, use a multimeter to check the signal wire on the harness side. If it reads 12 volts without the valve being commanded, the short is in the wiring harness.

   Coil Resistance Test: Measure the resistance across the pins of the solenoid coil itself. If the resistance is out of specification (nearly zero ohms), the internal coil winding has shorted and the solenoid must be replaced.

   Locate the electronic auxiliary remote valve stack at the rear of the tractor. Identify the 4th valve section in the stack.
