Case IH 51115 – AUX Controller: Invalid Software Instruction Executed

The control module's microprocessor attempted to process a software command or memory address that is corrupted, unrecognized, or logically impossible. This is an internal logic error that typically points to a software glitch, corrupted flash memory, or a physical failure of the internal memory/processor within the module.

   Turn the tractor off, disconnect battery power briefly, and restart to perform a hard reset and clear any transient logic glitches

   Check the tractor's battery voltage and alternator output for low voltage or severe voltage spikes

   Check for related codes like AUX 51301 or 51302 (On-Board logic voltage out of range)

   Connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to carry out a CAN bus check and ensure the AUX controller is communicating properly

   Connect Diagnostic Tool

   Hook up the Case IH EST laptop to the tractor's diagnostic port.

   Attempt a Software Reflash

   Check for software updates or re-flash the current software to the AUX controller. This overwrites potentially corrupted memory sectors.

   Replace the Controller

   If the EST cannot communicate with the AUX controller (it shows 'offline'), or if the code immediately returns after a successful reflash, the module has suffered an internal hardware failure and must be replaced.

   Calibrate the Remotes

   If the AUX controller is replaced, you must perform the Hitch/Auxiliary Controller Calibration procedure. This involves using the EST or the armrest display to calibrate the extend and retract limit set switches, as well as the flow control potentiometers for each remote valve.
