Case IH 51129 – AUX Controller: Invalid Software Instruction Executed

Internal software processing error, memory fault, or logic failure within the controller, meaning the module attempted to process a command that its software could not recognize or execute.

   Inspect wiring harness connectors (specifically between C340 and C054) for any physical damage, moisture, corrosion, or bent/dislocated pins.

   Verify the remote hydraulic controller has a solid ground connection and proper operating voltage. Check for over-voltage situations (e.g., alternator spiking above 16.2 volts).

   Turn the 1st remote valve on and check for approximately 12 volts at pin 6 and low voltage at pin 7 of connector C054 (or the equivalent remote valve connector).

   Harness Repair

   If any bent pins, dislocated wires, or damaged harnesses are found during the diagnostic checks, repair the harness and reconnect all connections securely.

   Clear and Retest

   Clear the fault codes using the diagnostic menu or service tool. Cycle the key and operate the remote valves to see if the code returns.

   Software Update

   Attempt to re-flash or update the software on the AUX controller using the EST (Electronic Service Tool) before condemning the hardware.

   Replace the Controller

   If the wiring is completely intact, power and ground are verified, and the fault code remains active (or if the module is completely unresponsive to a re-flash), replace the remote hydraulic controller.
