Case IH 51141 – AUX Controller: Invalid Software Instruction Executed

The controller has attempted to execute a software command that is invalid. This is most commonly a software problem, though there is a small chance it is a hardware failure.

   Determine Failure Mode: Recognize that this is predominantly a software issue, not a mechanical failure.

   Inspect Wiring: Check the AUX controller's wiring harness. Specifically, verify that the controller has a solid connection to the battery at connector C053.

   Check Grounds: Ensure the AUX controller is properly grounded to the chassis.

   Inspect and clean connector C053

   Inspect and clean connector C053 to ensure the controller has a good connection to the battery.

   Verify and clean ground

   Verify and clean the controller's ground connection.

   Clear fault code

   Clear the fault code from the system.

   Restart tractor

   Shut down the tractor completely, then restart it.

   Monitor system

   Monitor the system. If the 51141 fault code appears again upon restart, contact district/dealer support (PSM) for a software reflash via the Electronic Service Tool (EST) or a complete controller replacement.
