Case IH 51141 – AUX Controller: Invalid Software Instruction Executed

Issue description

The controller has attempted to execute a software command that is invalid. This is most commonly a software problem, though there is a small chance it is a hardware failure.

Check the cause

  1. Determine Failure Mode: Recognize that this is predominantly a software issue, not a mechanical failure.

  2. Inspect Wiring: Check the AUX controller's wiring harness. Specifically, verify that the controller has a solid connection to the battery at connector C053.

  3. Check Grounds: Ensure the AUX controller is properly grounded to the chassis.
