Case IH 5117-09 - DEC – DEC: CAN VB2 VCM park brake message abnormal update rate

Communication failure on Vehicle Bus 2 (VB2) involving a missing or delayed park brake status message from the Vehicle Control Module (VCM) to the DEC.

   Verify if multiple devices are failing to communicate on the CAN bus. If multiple devices are offline, the issue is likely a centralized data link wiring, power, or ground circuit failure.

   Check for an open or shorted circuit in the CAN data link wiring harness between the DEC and the VCM.

   Verify that proper electrical power and ground are being supplied to the affected ECMs.
