Case IH 517765-02 - ACM – ACM: Worklight memory 1 switch circuit fault

Issue description

Data from the switch circuit is erratic, intermittent, or incorrect.

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the physical condition and mechanical action of the Worklight Memory 1 switch located on the configurable armrest.

  2. Check the wiring harness and connectors between the Worklight Memory 1 switch and the Armrest Controller Module (ACM) for loose pins, corrosion, or chafing that could cause intermittent signal drops.

  3. Verify that the ACM is communicating properly on the CAN bus and is not logging secondary voltage or communication errors.

Repair steps

  1. Replace the faulty switch

    Replace the Worklight Memory 1 switch if it is found to be faulty.

  2. Repair the armrest harness

    Repair the damaged section of the armrest harness if wiring issues are found.

  3. Replace the ACM

    In rare cases, replace the Armrest Controller Module (ACM) if the internal circuit board has failed.
