517766-02 - ACM

Case IH 517766-02 - ACM – ACM: Worklight memory 2 switch circuit fault

Issue description

The control system has detected an electrical circuit malfunction—such as an open circuit, short to ground, or short to power—originating from the secondary worklight memory switch.

Applies to these machines

  • MAGNUM AFS Connect
  • Magnum 310 AFS Connect
  • Magnum 340 AFS Connect
  • Magnum 380 AFS Connect
  • Magnum 400 AFS Connect

Check the cause

  1. Test the Worklight Memory 2 switch on the multicontroller armrest to see if it responds or feels physically broken.

  2. Inspect the wiring harness and connectors linking the armrest switch panel to the Armrest Control Module (ACM) for pinched wires, corrosion, or loose terminal pins.

  3. Test the switch itself for proper electrical continuity when toggled to rule out an internal switch failure.

Repair steps

  1. Disconnect battery

    Disconnect the tractor's battery power.

  2. Disassemble armrest

Disassemble the multicontroller armrest console to access the internal switch panel and the ACM harness.

  3. Repair wiring

Repair any damaged wiring found during the diagnostic phase.

  4. Replace switch or panel

If the switch itself has failed internally, replace the individual worklight switch or the integrated armrest switch panel assembly.

  5. Reassemble and clear codes

Reassemble the armrest, restore battery power, and clear the inactive fault codes via the AFS Pro 1200 display.

Parts you might need

(1)
  • Worklight Memory 2 Switch / Armrest Switch Panel Assembly

Parts must be specifically ordered for the Case IH Magnum AFS Connect multicontroller armrest, as the switch layout and ACM architecture differ significantly from previous Magnum generations.
