   Inspect the wiring harness connecting the DEC to the A1 clutch solenoid for chafing, corrosion, or loose pins

   Test the A1 clutch solenoid directly with a multimeter to verify if the internal coil resistance is out of specification

   Ensure the transmission oil is at operating temperature (greater than 60 °C / 140 °F) before attempting to recalibrate the clutches

   Warm Up & Drain

   Operate the tractor until the transmission oil is > 60 °C (140 °F). Stop the engine and drain the transmission oil if the valve block location requires fluid drainage.

   Locate the Valve

   Locate the transmission solenoid valve block and identify the A1 clutch solenoid.

   Disconnect

   Unplug the electrical harness connector from the A1 solenoid.

   Removal

   Remove the retaining bolts (typically M6 x 1 x 50mm hex bolts) securing the solenoid valve to the transmission housing.

   Seal Replacement

   Remove the old solenoid and discard the old O-rings/seals. Clean the mating surface.

   Installation

   Install the new solenoid valve using a new seal kit. If you are installing the updated solenoid on an older transmission, an adapter kit may be required.

   Torque

   Fasten the mounting bolts to the OEM torque specification.

   Reassembly

   Reconnect the electrical harness. Replace the auxiliary hydraulic transmission filters.

   Refill & Calibrate

   Refill the transmission with Case IH Akcela fluid to the proper level. Run the tractor to circulate the oil, check for leaks, and use the AFS Connect monitor to run the transmission clutch calibration procedure.
