Case IH 518049-09 - ACM – ACM: Incorrect configuration of the differential lock keypad
Issue description
A software/network configuration mismatch regarding the differential lock keypad.
Applies to these machines
1 machine- MAGNUM AFS Connect
Check the cause
Connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) and scan for all DTCs. If multiple -19 codes are present across different armrest components (e.g., 518413-19, 518431-19), the entire armrest harness or a main connector may have been unplugged while the machine was on.
Inspect the wiring harness and connector leading directly to the differential lock keypad on the armrest to ensure it is securely seated and undamaged.
If the -09 code is active, verify the ACM configuration settings via the EST to ensure the differential lock keypad is properly enabled and recognized by the module.
Repair steps
Power Down
Turn off the tractor and disconnect battery power if inspecting physical connections to prevent further -19 (disconnected while powered on) codes from logging.
Secure Connections
Reconnect or firmly seat the differential lock keypad connector inside the armrest console.
Reconfigure the ACM
Use the Case IH EST to navigate to the ACM module settings and correct the configuration profile for the differential lock switch/keypad.
Clear Codes
Reconnect the EST, clear the inactive fault codes from the ACM memory, and cycle the key to verify the code does not return.
Parts you might need
(1)Differential Lock Keypad / Differential Lock Switch
Older generation Case IH differential lock switches use part numbers like 1964835C1, but these do not apply to the AFS Connect CAN-bus keypad architecture.
