Issue description

This code indicates that the pressure sensor monitoring the parking brake release circuit is reading a hydraulic pressure that is significantly lower than the required specification. Because the data is "valid," the controller recognizes that the sensor's electrical circuit is intact (it is not shorted or open), meaning the sensor is actively detecting a low-pressure condition. If the pressure falls below specification, the park brake may fail to release fully, and the park brake indicator lamp will illuminate.

Check the cause

  1. Connect a manual hydraulic pressure gauge to the regulated pressure test port on the valve assembly to perform a mechanical pressure test.

  2. Start the machine and verify the regulated pressure valve maintains a constant pressure of 22–25 bar (320–360 PSI) for the complete regulated circuit.

  3. If mechanical pressure is normal (electrical issue): Verify that the CCM2 is supplying exactly 5V to the sensor (Terminal A/J3-26) and check the ground and signal return wires for high resistance. If the wiring is good, the sensor must be replaced.

  4. If mechanical pressure is low (hydraulic issue): Check the PFC pump low-pressure standby, which should be 31–41 bar (450–600 PSI). If pump output is correct, inspect the regulated pressure valve for a stuck spool or broken spring, and check the park brake circuit for internal hydraulic leaks.

Repair steps

  1. Park the machine on a level surface, turn off the engine, and safely relieve all hydraulic pressure in the system.

    Ensure the machine is safely parked and depressurized before beginning work.

  2. Locate the park brake pressure sensor on the regulated pressure valve manifold.

    Identify the sensor location on the manifold.

  3. Disconnect the electrical harness connector from the sensor.

    Carefully unplug the sensor's electrical connection.

  4. Unscrew and remove the faulty sensor from the manifold block.

    Have a rag ready to catch residual hydraulic oil during removal.

  5. Lubricate the new O-ring/seal with clean hydraulic fluid and install it onto the new sensor.

    Ensure the seal is properly lubricated before installation.

  6. Thread the new sensor into the manifold and tighten to OEM torque specifications.

    Install the new sensor securely.

  7. Reconnect the electrical harness connector.

    Plug the harness back into the new sensor.

  8. Start the machine, check the manifold for leaks, and verify that the park brake warning light turns off.

    Clear the fault code using the in-cab diagnostic display after verifying the repair.
