Electrical issue (such as an open circuit, short to ground, or short to power) in the mute switch circuit.

   Connect the service tool to the tractor's Data Bus

   Monitor the status of the switch on the service tool screen while physically pressing the mute switch on the joystick

   If the status display does not match the switch changes, inspect the switch and its wiring harness for physical damage, open circuits, or shorts

   Check if there is an available software update for the Armrest Control Module (ACM) to resolve erratic armrest/joystick behaviors

   Replace component

   If the switch itself is determined to be the point of failure and is an integrated part of the armrest console or joystick, replace the specific panel or joystick handle.

   Calibrate controls

   If an ACM software update is performed, complete a calibration procedure for the armrest controls afterward.
