Case IH 518560-13 - ACM – ACM: EHR lever 2 sensor disagreement
Issue description
Internal position sensors within Electro-Hydraulic Remote (EHR) Lever #2 (Lever B) are reading conflicting values, meaning the dual-track sensor or encoder inside the lever assembly has failed or is out of sync.
Applies to these machines
3 machines- MAGNUM AFS Connect
- Case IH Magnum AFS Connect series
- Case IH Steiger AFS Connect series
Check the cause
Identify the correct lever: EHR Lever #2 (Lever B) is the second lever from the left on the armrest.
Check configuration: Ensure the lever is properly assigned to an installed EHR valve in the Vision Pro display.
Verify wiring and module communication: Check the wiring harness connecting the EHR lever block to the Armrest Control Module (ACM) for pinched wires or loose connections.
Perform a lever swap test: Swap EHR Lever #2 with another lever (e.g., Lever #3) to see if the fault code follows the lever. If the code changes to match the new position, the lever itself is defective.
Repair steps
Access the Armrest Controls
Power down the tractor. Remove the necessary trim panels on the AFS Connect armrest to access the EHR lever block.
Remove the Faulty Lever
Disconnect the electrical connector for EHR Lever #2. Remove the M4 x 12 mounting screws securing the lever assembly to the armrest console.
Install the New Lever
Seat the new EHR lever assembly into position and secure it with the M4 screws. Reconnect the wiring harness.
Reassemble and Configure
Reinstall the armrest trim. Power on the tractor and use the AFS Pro 1200 display to configure the new lever. Press the menu icon, navigate to the Tractor settings tab, and select 'Configurable Controls' to assign the lever to the correct rear remote valve and verify its color-coded LED matches the rear valve sticker.
