Case IH 518561-00 - ACM – ACM: EHR Lever C Internal Failure

The fault code indicates an internal failure of EHR Lever C (Electronic Hydraulic Remote lever). The internal potentiometer's voltage signal is out of range, erratic, or cannot hold calibration.

   Perform a visual and wiring inspection for damaged wiring, loose connectors, or bent pins at the EHR lever harness connection

   Using the Electronic Service Tool (EST) or the tractor's EIC, view the current calibration values for the specific EHR lever

   Attempt recalibration of the EHR lever. If voltage values deviate by more than 30mV from the expected baseline (Neutral 550 mV, Float 0 mV, Lower 180 mV, Raised 910 mV) after multiple attempts, the lever has failed internally

   Save Configurations

   Connect the EST (Electronic Service Tool) and navigate to the ACM Configuration. Save the Basic and Advanced configuration data to a file. Also, save the previous calibration values from the EHR levers.

   Remove the Failed Lever

   Disconnect the battery. Access the armrest console and disconnect the PCB harness (e.g., harness 84181190 or 84181189) from the failed EHR lever.

   Replace the Assembly

   The internal potentiometer is generally not serviced separately; the entire EHR lever assembly must be replaced. Remove the mounting hardware and extract the old lever.

   Install the New Lever

   Mount the new EHR lever assembly into the armrest and reconnect the electrical connector.

   Recalibrate

   Power on the tractor and use the EST or the in-cab display to perform the EHR lever calibration procedure so the ACM learns the exact voltage limits of the new potentiometer.
