Case IH 518561-01 - ACM – ACM: Internal failure in EHR lever 3

The system has detected an internal hardware or software calibration failure within the Electro-Hydraulic Remote (EHR) lever 3. On newer models, these levers are electronic, configurable, and do not latch into physical detents; they rely on internal sensors to communicate position to the control module.

   Check if the EHR lever was recently calibrated or if the controller was recently changed.

   Perform the EHR lever calibration procedure via the AFS Pro 1200 display if it was not calibrated.

   Repeat the calibration procedure if it was already calibrated to see if the module can relearn the lever's parameters.

   Download and flash the correct and most up-to-date software level to the ACM, then perform the calibration procedure again if the error code persists.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect battery power to prevent shorting the Armrest Control Module (ACM).

   Access the Armrest

   Remove the necessary trim panels on the right-hand armrest console to expose the EHR lever block.

   Remove the Faulty Lever

   Disconnect the electrical harness connected to EHR Lever 3 (Lever C) and unbolt the lever assembly from the armrest module.

   Install the New Lever

   Mount the replacement EHR lever and reconnect the electrical harness.

   Reassemble

   Reinstall the armrest trim panels.

   Re-calibrate and Configure

   Power on the tractor. You must perform the EHR lever calibration procedure for the new lever. Because AFS Connect levers are configurable, use the AFS Pro 1200 display to assign EHR Lever 3 to the correct rear remote valve (the lever will light up with the respective color of the assigned EHR valve).
