Case IH 518561-14 - ACM – ACM: Incorrect EHR lever C configuration
Issue description
The system has detected that the Electro-Hydraulic Remote (EHR) lever is either uncalibrated, assigned incorrectly in the system software, or is sending an out-of-range voltage signal that does not match the expected configuration parameters.
Applies to these machines
3 machines- MAGNUM AFS Connect
- Steiger AFS Connect
- Optum AFS Connect
Check the cause
Check for accompanying ACM communication fault codes (such as 4004 or 4005) which indicate the entire module is offline or that levers lost calibration at power-up.
Verify lever assignment in the Vision Pro display EHR settings screen to ensure it is properly assigned to an installed EHR valve.
Inspect the wiring harness, the 34-cavity electrical connector at the ACM, and the connector at the base of the EHR lever for damaged wires, loose pins, or corrosion.
Check the calibration status of the EHR lever, as a loss of calibration is the most common cause of this fault.
Repair steps
Re-assign the Lever
Turn on the tractor and use the Vision Pro display to navigate to the EHR settings. Ensure the lever is assigned to the correct remote valve (the lever should light up with the respective color of the EHR valve when assigned).
Perform Calibration
Execute the EHR lever calibration procedure via the display monitor.
Software Update
If the EHR lever was calibrated but the error code immediately returns, download and flash the correct/latest level of software to the ACM, then repeat the EHR lever calibration procedure.
Replace the Component
If the fault occurs again after software updates and recalibration, the internal potentiometer/circuitry of the EHR lever is faulty. Remove the armrest trim, disconnect the faulty EHR lever, and replace it with a new unit.
Final Calibration
After installing a new lever, you must perform the EHR lever calibration procedure again before the tractor will recognize it.
