Case IH 518564-06 - ACM – ACM: Voltage high on EHR lever 6 / Lever F
Issue description
A voltage anomaly (out of the expected physical range) detected on the potentiometer/sensor circuit for Electro-Hydraulic Remote (EHR) lever 6, which corresponds to Lever F.
Applies to these machines
1 machine- MAGNUM AFS Connect
Check the cause
Verify the FMI Code to confirm if it is -06 (Voltage High / Short to Power) or -13 (Voltage Low / Short to Ground / Open Circuit).
Remove the armrest cover and inspect the wiring harness connecting EHR Lever 6 (Lever F) to the ACM for pinched wires, damaged insulation, or loose connector pins.
Verify that the lever is receiving the correct 5V reference and sensor ground from the ACM.
Perform a swap test by swapping the electrical connector of EHR Lever F with an adjacent lever (e.g., Lever E). If the fault code changes to the corresponding code for Lever E, the lever itself has failed internally. If the 518564 code persists, the issue is in the wiring harness or the ACM.
Check the Vision Pro display to see if the lever requires calibration, as a loss of calibration can trigger out-of-range voltage codes.
Repair steps
Power Down
Turn off the tractor and disconnect battery power before servicing the armrest electronics.
Access the ACM
Remove the retaining screws for the armrest console cover to expose the EHR fingertip levers and the Armrest Control Module.
Replace the Lever
If diagnosed as faulty, disconnect the wiring harness from EHR Lever F. Unbolt the lever assembly from the armrest bezel and install the replacement lever. Reconnect the harness.
Reassemble
Secure the armrest cover back into place and restore battery power.
Calibrate the New Lever
On the Vision Pro display, navigate to the Vehicle Settings icon -> Menu Diagnostics -> Vehicle Diagnostics -> Calibration Wizard. Select the EHR levers and follow the on-screen prompts to sweep the lever through its full range of motion so the ACM can learn the new minimum and maximum voltage values.
Clear Codes
Cycle the key and verify that the 518564 fault code has moved to an inactive state or cleared entirely.
Parts you might need
(1)EHR Lever Assembly / Electro-Hydraulic Remote Fingertip Switch / Armrest Remote Potentiometer
Exact OEM part numbers are highly dependent on the specific tractor's serial number and armrest configuration. Consult the CNH Next Generation Parts Catalog (NGPC) using the machine's PIN.
