Case IH 518565-01 - ACM – ACM: Internal failure in EHR lever 7

Issue description

Indicates an internal failure in EHR lever 7 (which corresponds to EHR lever G). This fault code is logged against the Armrest Control Module (ACM).

Applies to these machines

  • Case IH Puma AFS Series

Check the cause

  1. Check if the EHR lever was recently calibrated or if a controller/EHR control unit was changed without calibration

  2. Repeat the EHR lever calibration procedure to see if the module can successfully relearn the lever's position

  3. Download the correct level of software to the module and perform the calibration procedure once more

  4. Verify that the wiring harness and connectors between the EHR lever and the Armrest Control Module (ACM) are secure and undamaged

Repair steps

  1. Power down and depressurize

Power down the tractor and ensure the hydraulic system is depressurized.

  2. Access EHR lever assembly

Open the armrest controller housing to access the EHR lever assembly.

  3. Disconnect electrical connector

Disconnect the electrical connector for the affected EHR lever (Lever 7 / G).

  4. Remove faulty lever

Remove the faulty EHR lever from the armrest control panel.

  5. Install replacement lever

Install the replacement EHR lever and reconnect the wiring harness.

  6. Reassemble housing

    Reassemble the armrest housing.

  7. Perform calibration

Turn the tractor on and use the Electronic Service Tool (EST) or the tractor's Pro display to perform a mandatory EHR lever calibration procedure for the new lever.
