Case IH 518565-03 - ACM – ACM: EHR lever 7 (Lever G) voltage high

The voltage signal from the potentiometer inside the Electro-Hydraulic Remote (EHR) lever 7 is above the normal operating threshold, typically pointing to a short to power (+12V), an open ground circuit, or an internal failure of the lever's sensor.

   Check for accompanying ACM communication or voltage error codes to determine if multiple levers are affected, which would indicate a shared ground or configuration error.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the EHR lever assembly and the Armrest Control Module (ACM) for damaged wires, open circuits, or a short circuit to a 12V source.

   Ensure connector pins are tight, in the correct position, and free of corrosion.

   Verify the calibration status of the EHR levers, as a lever that is not calibrated at power-up can trigger out-of-range errors.

   Power Cycle and Clear

   Turn the key switch on, document the active codes, and attempt to clear the error code to see if it is an active or stored (inactive) fault.

   Recalibrate the EHR Lever

   Access the AFS Pro 1200 display menu. Navigate to Diagnostics > Calibrations. Select the EHR Levers calibration procedure and follow the on-screen prompts to relearn the minimum, maximum, and neutral detent positions of the lever.

   Test or Swap the Lever

   If the calibration fails or the code immediately returns, swap the affected EHR lever (Lever 7/G) with a known good lever on the armrest (e.g., Lever 1 or 2). If the fault code follows the lever, the lever's internal potentiometer has failed. If the fault code stays at position 7, the wiring harness or the ACM itself is faulty.

   Replace the Component

   If the lever is deemed faulty, remove the armrest trim, disconnect the faulty EHR lever unit, and install the replacement.

   Final Configuration

   After replacing the controller or EHR control unit, you must perform the EHR lever calibration procedure again. Clear all codes and test the hydraulic remote for normal operation.
