Case IH 518565-13 - ACM – ACM: EHR lever 7 sensor disagreement

Issue description

The control module is detecting a disagreement or mismatch between the internal position sensors of the Electro-Hydraulic Remote (EHR) lever 7.

Applies to these machines

  • MAGNUM AFS Connect
  • Steiger AFS Connect

Check the cause

  1. Ensure the connectors between the EHR lever and the ACM are connected, not damaged, have a tight fit, and pins are in the correct position.

  2. Check the wiring harness for any physical damage or open circuits.

  3. Determine if the EHR lever was recently calibrated or if the controller was recently changed, as interrupted or lost calibration can trigger this fault.

Repair steps

  1. Perform Calibration

If the EHR lever was not calibrated (or if a controller was recently changed), perform the EHR lever calibration procedure using the tractor's display or the Electronic Service Tool.

  2. Repeat Calibration

If the EHR lever was already calibrated, repeat the EHR lever calibration procedure to see if the module can successfully relearn the sensor track parameters.

  3. Software Update

If the error code persists after attempting calibration, download the correct (latest) level of software to the ACM and perform the calibration procedure again.

  4. Component Replacement (Lever)

If the fault occurs again after software updates and calibration, the internal sensors of the EHR lever are likely failed. Remove and replace the EHR control unit/lever.

  5. Component Replacement (ACM)

If replacing the lever and verifying the wiring harness does not resolve the disagreement fault, the Armrest Control Module (ACM) itself may be defective and will need to be removed and replaced.

  6. Final Calibration

After replacing any components (the lever or the ACM), you must perform the EHR lever calibration procedure again before returning the machine to operation.
