Case IH 518567-13 - ACM – ACM: EHR valve selector knob disconnected

Issue description

The EHR valve selector knob on the MultiControl Armrest is disconnected, indicating an open circuit or sensor mismatch.

Check for other active ACM error codes (such as voltage high/low codes 518567-03 or 518567-06) using the Electronic Service Tool (EST) or AFS Pro 1200 display
Lift or open the MultiControl Armrest console and inspect the wiring sub-harness connecting the EHR valve selector encoder knob to the ACM
Disconnect and inspect the connector at the selector knob for pushed-out pins, corrosion, or damaged wires
Test the wiring harness for an open circuit (continuity test) between the selector knob and the ACM

Power down the tractor and turn off the battery disconnect switch
This prevents electrical spikes to the ACM.
Remove the retaining screws for the upper plastic trim of the MultiControl Armrest
This provides access to the internal components.
Locate the EHR valve selector knob assembly
Repair the sub-harness or re-seat the connector
Perform this if the diagnostic checks revealed a broken wire or loose connector.
Replace the switch assembly
If the wiring is intact but the code remains active (indicating an internal failure of the knob's potentiometer/encoder), remove the retaining hardware for the selector knob and replace the switch assembly.
Reassemble the armrest trim
Clear fault codes and test the knob
Power on the tractor and use the AFS Pro 1200 display to clear the fault codes. Test the knob by attempting to adjust an EHR valve flow rate to ensure the code does not return.

Armrest Control Module (ACM)
If the ACM itself requires replacement, it will need to be flashed with the correct software dataset (e.g., software part number 51511061) using the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST).
