Case IH 518569-02 - ACM – ACM: EHR A retract switch circuit fault

The controller is detecting an abnormal electrical signal (such as an open circuit, short to ground, or internal switch failure) specifically when the operator pulls/pushes the remote valve paddle into the 'retract' position.

   Use the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) or the AFS Pro 1200 display to monitor the live status of the switch (e.g., MFH EHR Switch 1 Retract) and observe if the state changes when the paddle is moved.

   Remove the MultiControl Armrest cover and visually inspect the wiring harness leading to the EHR A switch for pinched wires, chafing against the armrest frame, or loose/corroded connector pins.

   Swap the EHR A switch with an adjacent, known-good switch (like EHR B). If the fault code changes to the new location, the switch has failed internally. If the code persists on circuit A, the issue lies in the armrest wiring harness or the ACM.

   Use a multimeter to check for continuity on the retract circuit of the switch, and verify the reference voltage (typically 2.5V or 5V on the data bus/signal wire) is present at the connector.
