Case IH 518862-12 - BCM – BCM: Sensor regulated power supply (5 V) - short to B+
Issue description
The 5-volt regulated power supply circuit for the sensors is experiencing a short circuit to battery voltage (B+). Note: If the issue is an ATC recirculation box / blend door actuator permanent electrical defect, the correct code is 518502-05.

Check the cause
If diagnosing code 518862-12 (5V short): Test the 5V sensor power supply circuit to locate the short to battery voltage (B+).
If diagnosing code 518502-05 (ATC actuator defect): Inspect the ATC blend door/recirculation actuator and its wiring harness for permanent electrical defects, damaged pins, or melted wires.
