Case IH 519008-04 - UCM – UCM: Front suspension rod pressure sensor voltage low
Issue description
The sensor monitoring the hydraulic pressure on the rod side of the front suspension cylinder is sending a voltage signal to the controller that is below the expected normal operating range. This typically points to a short to ground in the wiring, a failed sensor, or a disconnected harness.

Check the cause
Check the Display / EST Readings: Navigate to the Transmission/Front Suspension view pressure page and check the rod pressure reading.
Perform a Zero-Pressure Test: Relieve all pressure in the system by tightening down the manual bleed/thumb screws on the suspension valve block. The sensor should read near zero (below 40 psi / 275 kPa). If it reads artificially high or low, the sensor is likely faulty.
Perform a Sensor Swap Test: Swap the rod pressure sensor with the piston pressure sensor. If the fault code changes to the piston side, the sensor is faulty. If the fault remains on the rod side, the issue is in the wiring.
Inspect Wiring & Connectors: Inspect the 3-pin electrical connector at the rod pressure sensor for broken locking tabs, pushed-out pins, or water/dirt ingress.
Repair steps
Depressurize the System
Lower the front suspension completely. Open the manual bleed valves (or tighten the thumb screws, depending on the specific valve block design) to release all hydraulic pressure from the front suspension accumulators and cylinders. Do not remove the sensor while the system is under pressure.
Disconnect Wiring
Unplug the 3-pin electrical connector from the rod pressure sensor.
Remove the Sensor
Unscrew the faulty rod pressure sensor from the suspension hydraulic valve block.
Install the New Sensor
Thread the new pressure sensor into the valve block and tighten to the manufacturer's specified torque.
Repair Connector (If Necessary)
If the wiring harness connector is damaged, splice in a replacement 3-pin connector housing (Part # 87695580).
Restore System
Close the manual bleed valves/thumb screws.
Calibrate
Start the tractor and use the A-post display or EST to perform a Front Suspension Calibration. Verify that the suspension raises, the fault code clears, and the system operates normally.
