Case IH 519044-03 - BCM – BCM: ATC cabin air / A/C evaporator temperature sensor is out of range - high

The controller is seeing a voltage signal above the normal operating threshold, most commonly caused by an open circuit, a disconnected sensor, broken wiring, or a short to power.

   Locate the cabin air / evaporator temperature sensor below the operator's seat near the HVAC/evaporator unit

   Visually inspect the sensor connections and the wiring harness for physical damage, a loose fit, or corrosion

   Test the wiring between the sensor and the BCM for continuity to rule out a broken wire (open circuit) or a short to a power source

   Power down the machine and access the evaporator temperature sensor below the operator's seat.

   Disconnect the sensor and inspect the pins.

   If damage to the sensor circuit or wiring harness is located, repair the wiring problem.

   If the wiring and connections test good, the sensor itself has failed internally and must be replaced.

   Install the new temperature sensor and reconnect the harness.

   Clear all fault codes from the BCM and return the unit to field operation to verify the A/C system functions correctly.
