519052-14 - BCM

Case IH 519052-14 - BCM – BCM: ATC blower speed increase switch - invalid input voltage

Issue description

The BCM is receiving an invalid input voltage from the Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) blower speed increase switch. The voltage signal returning from the switch is outside the expected operational parameters, which typically points to a failed switch contact, a short/open circuit in the wiring harness, or a communication error between the overhead climate control panel and the BCM.

Applies to these machines

  • MAGNUM AFS Connect
  • Magnum 310 AFS Connect
  • Magnum 340 AFS Connect
  • Magnum 380 AFS Connect
  • Magnum 400 AFS Connect

Check the cause

  1. Test redundant controls via the AFS Pro 1200 display to see if blower speed can be increased, isolating the issue to the physical switch or wiring

  2. Inspect the physical action of the blower speed increase switch on the overhead climate control panel for sticking or mechanical failure

  3. Drop the headliner panel and inspect the wiring harness and connectors linking the HVAC panel to the BCM for pinched wires, corrosion, or loose pins

  4. Use a multimeter to verify the reference voltage reaching the switch and monitor the output voltage when pressed to confirm if the switch is dropping the signal

Repair steps

  1. Power Down

Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts while working with the BCM circuits.

  2. Access the Panel

Remove the retaining screws/clips securing the overhead headliner to access the climate control panel.

  3. Disconnect

Unplug the electrical harness connector from the back of the HVAC control panel.

  4. Replace

If diagnostics point to a failed switch, replace the HVAC climate control panel assembly (as individual micro-switches are rarely serviced separately).

  5. Reassemble

Connect the wiring harness to the new panel, seat it into the headliner, and secure the retaining screws.

  6. Clear and Test

Reconnect the battery, turn the key to the ON position, clear the inactive 519052-14 code from the BCM, and test the blower speed increase switch to ensure proper operation.

Parts you might need

(1)
  • HVAC Climate Control Panel / ATC Switch Assembly

The exact part number varies depending on the specific cab option and trim level selected from the factory. Provide the tractor's Product Identification Number (PIN) to your Case IH dealer to ensure the correct overhead panel is ordered.
