Case IH 519069-02 - UCM – UCM: Rear hitch exterior inching switch (right side) - Data erratic, intermittent, or incorrect

The controller is receiving a jumping, dropping, or illogical signal from the right-hand rear fender hitch switch. This is typically caused by a failing internal contact in the switch, water/dirt ingress, or a loose/corroded connection in the wiring harness.

   Inspect the right rear fender switch for physical damage, cracked rubber boots, or heavy dirt/moisture ingress

   Disconnect the switch and inspect the pins for corrosion. Trace the wiring harness from the fender switch back to the UCM connector, looking for chafed wires that might be intermittently shorting to the chassis

   Use an Electronic Service Tool (EST) or the tractor's diagnostic display to monitor the live state of the right exterior inching switch. Press the switch and watch for signal dropouts or flickering values

   If the left fender switch is functioning normally, temporarily swap the connections (if the harness allows) to see if the erratic signal follows the switch or stays with the wiring

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to protect the UCM and electrical circuits.

   Access the Switch

   Locate the faulty right-hand rear fender inching switch.

   Disconnect

   Unplug the wiring harness connector from the back of the switch. Remove any retaining clips (e.g., wiring clip part # 47505757).

   Remove

   Depress the retaining tabs or remove the mounting screws holding the rocker switch into the fender housing, and pull the switch out.

   Install

   Snap the new OEM rocker switch into the fender housing.

   Reconnect

   Apply a small amount of dielectric grease to the connector to prevent future moisture ingress, then plug the harness back into the switch.

   Clear Codes & Calibrate

   Reconnect the battery, turn the key on, and use the tractor's display or EST to clear the 519069-02 fault code from the UCM.

   Test

   Actuate the new right fender switch to verify the hitch raises and lowers smoothly without throwing a new code.
