   Inspect the Wiring Harness: Trace wire 4055 (White) from the UCM to the Top Link Extend Solenoid on the rear hydraulic valve block. Look for chafing, pinched wires, or bare spots where the wire might be shorting to the tractor chassis (ground).

   Test the Solenoid Coil: Disconnect the electrical connector at the solenoid. Use a multimeter to measure the resistance across the solenoid pins. A reading of near-zero ohms indicates the coil is internally shorted.

   Inspect Connectors: Check both the UCM harness connector and the solenoid connector for moisture, corrosion, or bent pins that could bridge circuits.

   Disconnect Power

   Disconnect the negative earth cables at the battery. OEM manuals explicitly warn that failure to disconnect the battery before electrical repairs or welding can result in damage to the electronic and electrical systems (UCM).

   Locate the Component

   Locate the rear hitch valve block at the rear of the tractor. Identify the Top Link Extend Solenoid (referencing wire 4055 WH).

   Isolate the Fault

   If your multimeter test in the diagnostic phase showed an internal short in the solenoid, proceed to replace the solenoid. If the solenoid tested within normal resistance specs, the fault lies in the wiring harness (Wire 4055).

   Replace the Solenoid (if faulty)

   Clean the area around the valve block to prevent dirt ingress. Unthread the retaining nut holding the solenoid coil to the valve stem, slide the old coil off, and install the new OEM solenoid coil. Torque the retaining nut to OEM specifications.

   Repair Wiring (if faulty)

   If wire 4055 is shorted to ground, cut out the damaged section and splice in a new wire using weather-sealed heat-shrink connectors, or replace the affected harness section.

   Reassemble and Clear Codes

   Reconnect the solenoid and the battery. Turn the ignition on and use the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) or the in-cab display to clear the 519075-06 fault code. Test the rear hitch top link extend function to verify the repair.
