Case IH 52.00 - ACML – ACML: CRC of config IO failed (Content do not match with CRC)

The Input/Output (IO) configuration data saved on the module does not match the expected mathematical CRC value, meaning the data is corrupted. This is typically caused by interrupting the last write procedure, such as the module losing power, the key being turned off, or communication dropping while the system was actively saving configuration settings, calibrating, or being flashed with new software.

   Verify Power and Ground: Check the wiring harness, fuses, and relays supplying power to the ACML ECU to ensure it is not suffering from intermittent voltage drops.

   Re-attempt Configuration/Calibration: Connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST). Attempt to rewrite the IO configuration, re-flash the module's firmware, or complete the calibration procedure that was previously interrupted.

   Check for CAN Bus Errors: Ensure there are no active CAN communication codes that could be interrupting the data transfer to the ACML.

   Re-flash or rewrite configuration

   If the module successfully accepts a re-flash or configuration rewrite via the dealer EST tool, clear the fault code and cycle the key to verify the code does not return.

   Determine if replacement is necessary

   If the module's memory is permanently corrupted (bricked) from the interrupted write and will not accept new configuration data, the ACML ECU must be physically replaced.

   Disconnect battery

   Disconnect the battery.

   Remove ACML ECU

   Locate the ACML ECU, remove the retaining screws (M3 x 0.5 x 14.4mm), and disconnect the wiring harnesses.

   Install new ACML ECU

   Install the new ACML ECU and secure the fasteners.

   Program new module

   Reconnect the battery and use the Case IH EST to program the new module and configure the IO settings for the specific tractor.
