   Verify the software version of the Steering Valve Controller (SVC) and the Steering Redundant Controller (SRC) (baseline is version 2.02).

   Check the frequency and connection of the LVDT (Linear Variable Differential Transformer) sensor on the steering valve.

   Cross-check the road switch state between the main steering valve and the safety controllers for synchronization.

   Ensure the UCM/VCM is properly communicating over the VB1 CAN network.

   Connect diagnostic tool

   Connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to diagnostic connector 1.

   Check module configuration

   Use the EST to configure the UCM module and check for software interpolation overflows, underflows, or I2C communication failures within the steering valve controller.

   Update software

   If the software is outdated or corrupted, flash the UCM and Steering Valve Controller (SVC) with the latest software (e.g., APP version 91770788 or SVC version 2.02).

   Replace components

   If the internal failure is a hard fault and cannot be resolved via software or calibration, replace the steering valve controller or the UCM itself and reconfigure using the EST.
