Case IH 520235-02 - VCM – VCM: Incorrect controller configuration

The software configuration currently loaded or saved on the module does not match the physical hardware, options, or expected parameters of the machine.

   Connect the EST laptop to Diagnostic Connector 2 (CAN1/ISOBUS) located in the cab.

   Navigate to the Configuration menu on the EST toolbar, then select General Configuration.

   Review the current configuration settings stored in the VCM.

   Compare the stored configuration against the machine's actual factory build sheet and installed options (e.g., AST valve presence, transmission type, PTO options).

   Ensure the tractor is parked, key ON, engine OFF, and the EST is connected to Diagnostic Connector 2.

   Open the EST software and navigate to the General Configuration tab.

   Correct any mismatched parameters in the VCM so they align with the tractor's physical equipment.

   Use the configuration tables provided in the service manual.

   Save the new configuration to the controller.

   Perform a key cycle to initialize the new settings.

   Turn the key OFF, wait for the modules to power down completely, then turn the key back ON.

   Rescan the VCM to verify that fault code 520235-02 has changed to an inactive state or cleared entirely.
