Case IH 520559-02 - ACM – ACM: Incorrect configuration of Electronic Hitch/Remote lever 6
Issue description
According to the official manual, this code translates to 'Incorrect configuration of Electronic Hitch/Remote lever 6'. However, if diagnosing an 'Air conditioning mode switch circuit fault', it indicates an electrical failure (such as an open circuit, short to ground, or short to power) in the mode select potentiometer or switch circuit within the Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) system.

Check the cause
Use the tractor's display or an electronic service tool to confirm if the ACM is flagging EHR Lever 6 (Code 520559-02) or an ATC mode select circuit error.
If the code is for the EHR lever: Check the configuration and calibration status of remote lever 6 on the armrest.
If the code is for the A/C mode switch: Locate and inspect the Air Conditioning Mode Switch (component S016) circuit.
Check connector X752 at the Air Conditioning Mode Switch and connector X755 at the Air Condition Control Unit (Component A017) for loose pins, corrosion, or moisture.
Test the wiring harness for continuity, shorts to ground, or shorts to power between the ATC control panel and the ACM.
Repair steps
Power Down
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts during repair.
Access the Control Panel
Remove the trim panels to access the Armrest Control Module (ACM) and the Air Condition Control Unit (A017).
Inspect and Clean
Disconnect connector X752 from the Air Conditioning Mode Switch (S016). Clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner.
Repair Wiring
If the diagnostic checks revealed a short or open circuit in the harness, repair or replace the affected wire sections.
Replace Component
If the wiring is intact but the switch fails resistance/continuity testing, replace the Air Conditioning Mode Switch (S016) or the integrated Air Condition Control Unit.
Reassemble and Calibrate
Reconnect all harnesses, restore battery power, and use the diagnostic display to clear the fault codes. If the EHR lever was the culprit, perform a lever calibration procedure.
