520599-03 - BCM

Case IH 520599-03 - BCM – BCM: High power voltage supply (circuit 'd') out of range - high

Issue description

The Body Control Module is detecting that the "High power voltage supply" (circuit 'd') is exceeding the maximum expected voltage threshold (out of range - high).

Applies to these machines

  • MAGNUM AFS Connect

Check the cause

  1. Verify the overall system battery voltage and alternator output to ensure the machine is not overcharging

  2. Inspect the wiring harness connected to the BCM for any chafing or melting that could cause a short to battery power

  3. Check the high-power supply pins at the BCM connector with a multimeter to confirm if the voltage is actually too high or if the BCM is reading it incorrectly

Repair steps

  1. Repair wiring harness

If the harness is shorted, locate and repair the shorted wires.

  2. Replace and reprogram BCM

If the voltage supply is normal but the BCM reports it as high, the BCM itself must be replaced and reprogrammed.
