Case IH 520609-02 - ACM – ACM: Front auto PTO switch circuit fault
Issue description
Indicates an electrical circuit issue (such as a short, open circuit, or erratic voltage) specifically tied to the switch that controls the front automatic Power Take-Off (PTO) function.
Applies to these machines
1 machine- MAGNUM AFS Connect
Check the cause
Front auto PTO switch responsiveness
Physical switch condition (binding or liquid intrusion)
Wiring harness connecting switch to ACM
ACM communication with the rest of the tractor
Repair steps
Verify the Symptom
Check if the front auto PTO switch on the armrest is unresponsive, stuck, or throwing immediate errors on the AFS Pro display.
Inspect the Switch
Test the physical front auto PTO switch on the armrest for mechanical binding or liquid intrusion (a common cause of armrest switch failures).
Circuit Testing
Check the wiring harness connecting the front auto PTO switch to the ACM. Look for pinched wires, chafing, or disconnected pins.
Module Communication
Verify that the ACM is communicating properly with the rest of the tractor (if other armrest functions are also failing, the issue may be the ACM harness or the module itself rather than the isolated switch).
Parts you might need
(2)Front Auto PTO Switch (Armrest mounted)
Armrest switches on AFS Connect machines are sometimes integrated into larger switch pods or the armrest control board itself, meaning a sub-assembly replacement might be required depending on the exact Magnum model year.
