Case IH 520613-14 - ACM – ACM: Incorrect rear hitch position control configuration
Issue description
This code indicates that the control module has detected an incorrect configuration, calibration, or software mismatch regarding the rear hitch position control (the potentiometer/slider located on the tractor's armrest).
Applies to these machines
11 machines- MAGNUM AFS Connect
- Magnum AFS Connect 180
- Magnum AFS Connect 200
- Magnum AFS Connect 220
- Magnum AFS Connect 240
- Magnum AFS Connect 250
- Magnum AFS Connect 280
- Magnum AFS Connect 310
- Magnum AFS Connect 340
- Magnum AFS Connect 380
- Magnum AFS Connect 400
Check the cause
Check for accompanying fault codes (e.g., 520613-19, 520613-13, 520613-06, 520613-03) that might indicate a hardware failure rather than just a configuration issue.
Physically inspect the rear hitch position control potentiometer/slider on the MultiControl Armrest for physical damage, sticking, or liquid spills.
Verify the wiring harness connections between the hitch position potentiometer and the Armrest Control Module (ACM).
Repair steps
Access the Display
Turn on the tractor and access the Pro 1200 display to view active fault codes in the AFS Connect system.
Recalibrate the Hitch
Navigate to the tractor's hitch calibration menu on the display. Perform a full calibration of the rear hitch position controls and the armrest potentiometers.
Test Voltage
If calibration fails or the system rejects the configuration, use a multimeter to test the voltage output of the hitch position potentiometer. Ensure it is sending a smooth, linear 5-volt reference signal to the ACM without dropping out.
Inspect the ACM
If the potentiometer tests fine but the configuration code persists alongside internal failure codes (like 520613-00 or 520613-01), the Armrest Control Module itself may require a software re-flash or physical replacement.
Replace and Clear
Replace the faulty potentiometer or ACM as necessary. Clear the fault codes using the electronic service tool or display, and verify the rear hitch operates correctly through its full range of motion.
