Case IH 522807.02 - ACML – ACML: Stack checks, unexpected value
Issue description
The module's software encountered erratic, intermittent, or incorrect data while evaluating its memory stack. This is typically an internal software glitch or a memory failure within the module itself.
Applies to these machines
5 machines- MAXXUM T4E
- VESTRUM CVX
- Magnum
- Steiger
- Puma
Check the cause
Connect an appropriate Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to verify if the code is active or stored
Test the EHR (Electro-Hydraulic Remote) levers and armrest dispenser controls to see if they are functioning properly or if they are locked out due to the fault
Check if there is a software update available for the ACML, as this is a memory/software error
Do not just clear the code without addressing the root cause, as it may lead to ongoing issues
Repair steps
Power Cycle / Hard Reset
Disconnect battery power to perform a hard reset of the tractor's modules, which can sometimes clear temporary memory stack faults.
Software Flash
If the code returns, use the Case IH diagnostic tool to reflash or update the ACML software.
Module Replacement
If the software update fails or the code persists as a hard fault, replace the faulty armrest control unit/valve controls.
Recalibration
After replacing the ACML, calibrate the armrest controls and EHR levers using the manufacturer's diagnostic tool.
Parts you might need
(1)Armrest Control Module (ACML) / Armrest Dispenser Control Unit
Exact OEM part numbers vary heavily depending on the specific tractor model and armrest configuration (e.g., CVXDrive vs. PowerDrive).
