Case IH 522999-10 - ACM – ACM: Armrest controller internal fault

The controller is detecting that its internal 12-volt power regulation or sensing circuit has failed, preventing it from properly powering internal components or communicating reliably with the tractor's network.

   Verify external power to the armrest controller by ensuring the power wire (Red) receives a steady 12V and the ground wire (Black) has clean continuity to the chassis.

   Inspect the main wiring harness connectors (such as J211) for damaged wires, loose connections, corrosion, or bent pins.

   Check the CAN data bus lines (Yellow and Green wires) for proper voltage (typically 2.4V to 2.5V).

   Check the diagnostic LED on the ACM printed circuit board; a flashing green LED indicates normal operation, while solid or off indicates internal board failure.

   If external 12V supply and ground are verified as good but the code persists, internal hardware failure within the ACM is confirmed.

   Power down the tractor, remove the key, and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.

   Remove the plastic housing covers on the armrest to access the Armrest Control Module (ACM).

   Carefully unclip and disconnect the wiring harness connectors from the ACM.

   Remove the mounting screws/bolts securing the faulty Armrest Control Module to the armrest assembly and lift the unit out.

   Install the replacement or remanufactured ACM and secure it with the mounting hardware.

   Reconnect all wiring harness connectors, ensuring they click securely into place.

   Reinstall the armrest housing covers and reconnect the tractor's battery.

   Software and Calibration (Dealer Required): A dealer technician must connect the Case IH service tool to download the correct software (e.g., ACM software version 1.1.0.0, part number 48010791) and perform mandatory system calibrations (such as remote valve and transmission calibrations) for the tractor to recognize the new module.
