Case IH 523240 - 04 - CSM – CSM (Cab Suspension Module): Cab suspension sensor supply - cab suspension sensor supply voltage low

The reference supply voltage traveling to the cab suspension sensor has dropped below the normal operating threshold. This condition is typically caused by a short circuit to ground, an open circuit in the wiring harness, or a failure within the sensor itself pulling the voltage down.

   Use the diagnostic display (such as AFS Pro 1200 or CEBIS/CIS) to verify the active fault code and access the CSM terminals

   Verify the sources of energy to the CSM and the sensor, including all relevant fuses, the main power supply, and ground connections

   Check the cab suspension sensor wiring harness for any short-circuits to ground or open circuits

   Check the sensor component's resistance values against OEM specifications

   Check the component's physical operating conditions (e.g., mechanical seizing of the cab suspension linkages or shock absorbers)

   Support cab

   Safely support the suspended cab to prevent unexpected movement during repair.

   Disconnect power

   Disconnect the battery/power supply to the CSM to prevent electrical spikes.

   Locate sensor

   Locate the cab suspension sensor (often mounted near the cab suspension hydraulic cylinders or shock absorbers).

   Inspect connector

   Disconnect the sensor connector and inspect the pins for corrosion or damage.

   Repair wiring

   If the wiring harness tested faulty during diagnostics, repair the short/open circuit in the harness.

   Remove sensor

   If the sensor failed the resistance test, remove the mounting bolts and remove the faulty sensor.

   Install the new cab suspension sensor and tighten the mounting hardware.

   Reconnect harness

   Restore power and calibrate
