Case IH 523252 - 12 - CSM – CSM (Cab Suspension Module): Cab suspension controller memory error

Issue description

The internal memory of the Cab Suspension Module has failed, corrupted, or experienced a read/write error, preventing the controller from operating the semi-active cab suspension system correctly.

  • MAGNUM AFS Connect
  • AFS Connect Magnum Tractors (Tier 4B) CVT Transmission Models: 180, 200, 220, 240, 250, 280, 310, 340, and 380
  • AFS Connect Magnum Tractors (Tier 4B) Full Power Shift Models: 180, 200, 220, 250, 280, 310, and 340

Check the cause

  1. Cycle System Power: Turn the machine off and back on to see if the memory error clears or is a hard (active) fault.

  2. Check Connections: Inspect all fuses, cabling, power, ground, and CAN bus connections to the Cab Suspension Module for damage, corrosion, or loose pins.

Repair steps

  1. Re-flash CSM

    Attempting to re-flash the CSM with the latest software version using the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST).

  2. Replace CSM

    If the module will not accept a flash or the memory error persists, the physical Cab Suspension Module must be replaced.
