Case IH 523275 - 03 - CSM – CSM: Cab suspension right position - cab suspension right position high
Issue description
Indicates an issue with the right-hand position sensor of the cab's active suspension system. The sensor is sending a signal to the controller that is higher than the expected operating range, which could be caused by a short to power, an open ground circuit, a faulty sensor, or the suspension physically overextending.

Check the cause
Inspect the right-hand cab suspension shock absorber/actuator and the physical position sensor linkage for damage, disconnection, or physical overextension
Inspect the wiring harness leading to the right cab suspension position sensor for chafing, pinched wires, or corrosion at the connector
Test the sensor circuit for a short to power or an open ground, which typically causes a 'high' voltage reading
Repair steps
Disconnect power
Disconnect the battery or power to the CSM before servicing electrical components.
Repair wiring harness
If the wiring harness is damaged, repair the broken/shorted wires and replace the connector if necessary.
Replace sensor
If the sensor is internally shorted, remove the mounting hardware for the right-hand cab suspension position sensor and install a new sensor.
Restore power
Reconnect the harness and restore power.
Calibrate sensor
After replacing a suspension position sensor, the Cab Suspension Module (CSM) will likely require a software calibration routine via the tractor's display or a dealer diagnostic tool to relearn the minimum and maximum travel limits.
