Case IH 523367 - 02 - CSM – CSM: Cab suspension controller - cab suspension controller memory error
Issue description
The controller has lost its valid configuration data, calibration settings, or has suffered an internal memory defect (such as an EEPROM failure). The module can no longer recall the parameters required to actively manage the cab's suspension leveling and shock absorption.
Applies to these machines
5 machines- MAGNUM AFS Connect
- Case IH AFS Connect Magnum Series (Models 180, 200, 220, 240, 250, 280, 310, 340, 380)
- Case IH Puma Series
- Case IH Steiger Series
- Case IH Optum Series
Check the cause
Verify battery voltage and the charging system, as low voltage or voltage spikes can cause the controller to drop its memory
Inspect the wiring harness leading to the CSM for an intermittent power supply or a loose/corroded ground connection at the controller pins
Verify if the CSM software is up to date using the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST), as outdated software can cause memory retention bugs
Repair steps
Power Down
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
Inspect the CSM
Locate the Cab Suspension Module (typically located under the rear cab cover or within the cab electronics bay). Disconnect the main harness connector.
Clean and Reconnect
Clean the connector pins with electrical contact cleaner. Ensure the pins are not pushed back or corroded. Reconnect the harness securely and restore battery power.
Clear and Calibrate
Connect the Case IH EST (or use the AFS Pro display if accessible) to clear the inactive fault codes. Perform the Cab Suspension Calibration procedure as outlined in the operator's manual to rewrite the memory parameters.
Test the System
Cycle the key power. If the cab suspension levels correctly and the code does not return, the issue was an intermittent power loss.
Replace the Module
If the calibration fails to save, or if the 523367 - 02 memory error returns immediately upon key-cycle, the CSM has a permanent internal memory defect and must be replaced.
Flash New Module
Install the new CSM hardware, flash it with the correct software payload via the EST, and perform a final cab suspension calibration.
Parts you might need

Cab Suspension Shock Absorber
43200If the suspension physically failed and caused the controller to over-stroke and fault out.
Cab Suspension Shock Absorber
84141201If the suspension physically failed and caused the controller to over-stroke and fault out.
Cab Suspension Ram Seal Kit
