   Check the CAN Bus network for communication errors, timeouts, or physical damage to the data lines

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the CSM and the vehicle controller for open circuits, shorts to battery, or shorts to ground

   Verify the software versions on the Cab Suspension Module (CSM) and the Body Control Module (BCM) for mismatches or outdated firmware

   Connect the Case IH Electronic Diagnostic Tool (EST) to monitor live parameters and controller status

   Connect diagnostic tool

   Connect the Customer EST (Electronic Diagnostic Tool) to a Windows-based PC and plug it into the tractor's diagnostic port to retrieve the active fault codes and controller status.

   Inspect and repair wiring

   Inspect the physical wiring harness connecting the Cab Suspension Module to the main vehicle controller. Look for chafed wires, loose pins, or corrosion in the connectors. Repair any damaged CAN Bus wiring.

   Check and update software

   If the wiring is intact, check the software version of the CSM. If it is outdated or corrupted, re-flash the module with the correct software version (e.g., version 1.0.0.0).

   Clear fault code

   Clear the fault code using the EST and cycle the key to see if the communication fault returns.

   Replace module

   If the CAN bus wiring is verified good and the software is up to date, the receiving control unit (the CSM) may have an internal hardware defect and must be replaced.
