Issue description

This fault indicates that the system is detecting an abnormally low electrical current on the circuit responsible for actuating the cab suspension control valve. This almost always points to an open circuit, typically caused by a disconnected harness, a severed wire, severely corroded connector pins, or an internally burnt-out solenoid coil on the control valve itself.

Check the cause

  1. Visually inspect the wiring harness near the cab suspension control valve for obvious signs of chafing, rodent damage, or stress.

  2. Unplug the connector at the control valve and check for pushed-out pins, moisture intrusion, or green corrosion.

  3. Measure the resistance (Ohms) across the two pins of the control valve's solenoid coil using a digital multimeter. An 'OL' (Open Loop) reading indicates the coil has failed internally.

  4. Perform a continuity test between the valve connector and the CSM harness connector to rule out a broken wire in the chassis harness.

Repair steps

  1. Secure the Cab

    Park the tractor on a level surface. Safely support the cab using appropriate blocking, or allow it to rest fully on its bump stops so it does not drop unexpectedly when pressure is relieved.

  2. Depressurize the System

    Turn off the engine and relieve hydraulic pressure in the cab suspension circuit.

  3. Disconnect Power

    Disconnect the negative battery cable to protect the CSM.

  4. Remove the Valve

    Disconnect the electrical harness from the cab suspension control valve. Clean the surrounding area thoroughly to prevent dirt from entering the hydraulic system.

  5. Extract the Component

    Depending on the specific valve design, either unbolt the retaining nut to slide the faulty solenoid coil off the valve stem, or unbolt the entire control valve assembly from the hydraulic block.

  6. Install the New Part

    Install the replacement valve or coil. Ensure all O-rings are lubricated with clean hydraulic fluid prior to installation. Torque mounting bolts to OEM specifications.

  7. Reassemble

    Reconnect the electrical harness and the negative battery cable.

  8. Calibrate and Test

    Start the tractor and clear the inactive fault codes. Use the in-cab ride height settings to cycle the suspension through its full range of motion to purge any trapped air and verify proper operation.
