   Check for Related Codes: Look for accompanying communication fault codes (such as 12892, 12898, or 12899) which might indicate a harness issue rather than an internal module failure.

   Cycle Power: Clear the fault codes and cycle the tractor's ignition. If the 524243-31 internal fault immediately returns, the ITBV ECU has suffered a hard internal failure and must be replaced.

   Park the tractor on a flat surface, chock the wheels, turn off the engine, and remove the ignition key.
