Case IH 55014: "Front PVE - status" error signal from valve
Issue description
The control module is detecting a fault (such as a voltage mismatch, communication error, or spool position error) originating from the front Proportional Valve Element (PVE) internal electronics or solenoid.
Applies to these machines
1 machine- STX Steiger
Check the cause
Reset the system by cycling the power off and on to see if the error is a temporary glitch.
Check the wiring harness and connections leading to the front PVE valve for quality, visible damage, or corrosion.
Check for a short circuit in the cable or a defective main unit. Verify that the valve is receiving the correct power supply and ground.
Repair steps
Power Cycle
Turn the machine off and back on to reset the system and clear any temporary communication faults.
Inspect and Repair Wiring
Carefully inspect the wiring harness connected to the front PVE valve. Repair or replace any damaged wires or corroded connectors.
Replace the PVE Module
If the wiring is intact, the power supply is correct, and the error persists, the PVE module (magnetic coils/internal electronics) is likely defective and must be replaced.
Parts you might need
(1)Proportional Valve Element (PVE) / Danfoss PVE module / magnetic coil
Verify the part number directly from your machine's specific hydraulic remote or front hitch setup, as PVE modules vary by flow rate and electrical connector type.
