Case IH 55015: Rear PVE - status error signal from valve
Issue description
55015 is not a specific fault code, but rather the section/group index code for the Engine control system. The associated 'error signal from valve' indicates the PVE module's internal function monitor has detected a fault (such as a mismatch between commanded signal and actual spool position, or incorrect power supply) and cut off the signal output.
Applies to these machines
5 machines- STX Steiger
- Case IH Luxxum series (100, 110, 120)
- Case IH 33-56 Series
- Case IH Maxxum 5120-5250
- Case IH Farmall
Check the cause
Verify that the feed power to the valve is correct. An incorrect power supply will trigger an error signal.
Verify that the analog/PWM signal to the valve is correct and within the permissible amplitude and pulse/pause ratio.
Check the wiring harness connecting the controller to the PVE module for damages, shorts, or poor quality connections.
Disconnect the supply voltage to the EHSC (Electronic Hydraulic Speed Control) or PVE module to reset the function monitor, then reconnect to see if the fault clears.
Repair steps
Disconnect valve
Disconnect the affected rear remote valve (Danfoss module).
Restart system
Bring the control lever back to the neutral position and restart the system.
Replace PVE module
If the error code remains and the wiring is confirmed good, the PVE module (magnetic coils/electronic circuit) is defective and must be changed.
