Case IH 56065 – Transmission Controller (TCU): The Forward Lever Switch and the Reverse Lever Switch are both turned ON.

This fault code is triggered when the transmission controller detects an impossible state: the transmission control lever (FNRP - Forward/Neutral/Reverse/Park switch) is sending both a 'Forward' and a 'Reverse' signal at the exact same time. Primary failure modes include an internal short in the FNRP switch module, a shorted wiring harness, or a failed transmission controller.

   Inspect the physical FNRP shuttle lever on the steering column or armrest for physical damage, sticking, or debris that might be forcing contacts closed.

   Trace the wiring harness from the FNRP module down to the transmission controller. Look for pinched wires, chafing against the steering column/chassis, or melted insulation that could cause the forward and reverse signal wires to short together.
