Case IH 56099 – Transmission Controller (TRANS): System pressure is out of range low (less than 517 kPa/75 PSI)

Triggered when the transmission system pressure in the regulator valve drops below 517 kPa (75 PSI) for more than 5 seconds. The underlying condition could be a genuine low hydraulic pressure issue, a failed transmission pressure sensor, a wiring failure in the sensor circuit, or a failed transmission controller.

   View the system hydraulic pressure in the instrumentation controller display to see current readings

   Inspect wiring connector ends for damaged, bent, or dislocated pins

   Perform a short test by shorting connector C044 cavity B to cavity C (fault code 55093 should occur)

   Perform a transmission calibration once the hydraulic oil is warmed up (ensure all fault codes are cleared first)

   Replace the Transmission Controller

   If the short test (shorting C044 cavity B to C) failed to produce fault code 55093, the controller is faulty and must be replaced.

   Replace the Pressure Sensor

   If the controller passes the short test (code 55093 appears) and the wiring is intact, the transmission pressure sensor has failed and must be replaced.

   Recalibrate

   If the transmission controller is replaced, you must perform a full transmission controller calibration.
