Case IH 6032 – 4WD ECU / Transmission ECU (SC/SD controller): Voltage from the front shaft speed sensor (VAA) too high
Issue description
The electronic control unit is receiving a voltage signal from the front shaft speed sensor (VAA) that exceeds the maximum expected threshold. This condition is typically caused by a short circuit to a power source in the sensor's wiring harness, a failure of the 5V sensor supply line, or an internal short within the sensor itself.

Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness from the front shaft speed sensor (VAA) back to the 4WD/Transmission ECU for chafed wires, melted insulation, or pinched areas that could cause a short to a 12V power source
Disconnect the sensor connector and inspect the pins for corrosion, moisture ingress, or bent terminals
Turn the key to the ON position (engine off) and use a multimeter to check the reference voltage at the sensor connector to ensure the 5V supply line is not outputting excessive voltage
Test the sensor itself; if the wiring and reference voltage are within specification, the internal circuitry of the sensor has likely failed

Locate the front shaft speed sensor (VAA).
Depending on the exact tractor configuration, this will be mounted on the front axle housing (reading the 4WD driveshaft speed) or on the front P.T.O. assembly.
Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.
