Check the cause
Inspect external levers and relay rods for correct adjustment
Check rod pivots for stiffness or partial seizure and lubricate them
Perform Electronic Service Tool (EST) / CDU checks: Check H9, channel 5 to verify if it is outside the allowable range
Check H5 for failure to display 'd28'
Check HD for an 'unkn' display
Repair steps
Turn the starter key to the OFF position.
Remove the rear left-hand wheel and the solenoid valves unit guard.
Replace the HI and LO forward gears synchroniser position sensor pushbutton (switch).
Test the tractor to see if the fault persists.
If the fault persists, replace the HI and LO forward gears synchroniser solenoid valve.
Test the tractor again to see if the fault persists.
If the fault persists, the issue is internal. Check the hydraulic system and the synchroniser unit itself.
If internal components are worn or damaged, split the tractor, remove the transmission/gearbox, and physically replace the faulty F/R Synchronizer assembly.
Once the mechanical or electrical cause is resolved, clear the error using the CDU or EST (Electronic Service Tool) in the HF Menu.
