704-02 - ACM

Case IH 704-02 - ACM – ACM: Configurable switch 4 circuit fault

Issue description

Indicates an electrical issue (such as an open circuit, short to ground, or short to power) in the wiring or the switch itself.

Applies to these machines

  • MAGNUM AFS Connect
  • Case IH Magnum Series (180, 190, 200, 210, 220, 225, 235, 240, and up to 340)
  • Case IH Steiger Series (ranging from 350 to 600 horsepower)

Check the cause

  1. Check the physical condition of Configurable switch 4 on the armrest for mechanical binding or damage.

  2. Verify the wiring harness connecting the switch to the ACM for continuity, shorts to ground, or shorts to power.

  3. Check for any other active ACM communication codes (such as code 1012: 'No communication with the ACM') which might indicate a broader module failure rather than an isolated switch issue.

Parts you might need

(2)
  • Armrest Configurable Switch / Configurable Switch Body

  • Armrest Control Module (ACM)
